Scope: DB2 Support

Quick Database Health Check

Perform a Quick System Check to help Client mitigate risks based on IBM’s recommended practices assessment and recommendations, based on the configurations and usage of db2 database including

a. perform a basic operational and performance check on the covered products using available operation system functions;

b. provide preventive services to assist in reviewing processes, procedures and configurations to identify potential failure that may cause or extend outages;

c. provide proactive services to assist in reviewing database logs, records, and trends to isolate chronic problems and develop action plans to avoid or minimize the impact of unplanned outages;

d. review the result of the quick database health check with Client; and

e. provide a report containing the results of the quick database health check and recommended actions to improve system availability.

Installation and Removal

Provide the installation and / or de-installation of Client’s database software.

The service includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:

a. Download installation fileset by using customer owned license key.

b. Review system prerequisite of database software and assist customer to fulfill the requirement

c. Unpack and install the database software on the assigned customer server

d. Apply basic configuration allowing customer testing

Labor services

Provide labor only Service to perform database operational activity on Client’s behalf. Examples include, but are not limited to, cover non-intrusive activities like archiving, confirming the status of databse indicators, review backup process, validating database connections, or the addition of a component to a running database system without significant interruption to the operation of the system.

Implementation and Migration Services

Provide required resources to assess and recommend technical requirements in collaboration with Client, prepare implementation and migration plans, and perform Services mutually agreed upon in writing.

The Service includes:

a. database implementation or migration services on agreed products, components, and tools;

b. integration with existing environment; and

c. testing, and completion criteria agreement with Client.
