Key Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Execution: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for complex backend architectures and data-intensive applications.
• Linux Environment Management: Manage and maintain test environments running on Linux distributions; perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.
• Database Validation: Conduct advanced PostgreSQL testing, including data integrity checks, performance tuning validation, and complex query verification.
• Automation Development: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API and backend processes to ensure seamless integration with Whale Cloud components.
• System Performance: Analyze system logs and metrics within Linux servers to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system stability.
• Technical Leadership: Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and system architects to ensure quality is integrated throughout the SDLC.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, defect reports, and system validation procedures.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or related engineering roles, with a focus on backend and infrastructure testing.
• Fluent English proficiency.
• OS Proficiency: Strong command of Linux (CentOS/Ubuntu/Debian), including shell scripting (Bash/Python) for environment setup and automation.
• Database Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in PostgreSQL (query optimization, database schema validation, and data migration testing).
• Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with Whale Cloud Technology solutions or similar large-scale BSS/OSS architecture is highly preferred.
• Tools: Proficient in API testing tools (Postman, JMeter, or similar) and familiar with CI/CD pipelines.
• Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production-like issues in Linux-based environments.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of large-scale distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Experience in load and stress testing for high-concurrency systems.
